I join with all who are praying *
to the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father, I praise you and thank you for your great love and I lift up this day for your blessings. *
With your help I will live today as a responsible, generous, and honest human being. Like Jesus, I will try today to treat everyone I meet with dignity and respect. With Jesusโ€™ spirit alive in me I will witness my love by thinking of others first and myself last.

Help me today, Father, to put into action what I have said in words. *
I ask this in your name. Amen.

Praying John 15:5-8 (New International Version)

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown in to the fire and burned. *
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

Response to the Scripture

Blessed Father, make us one, even as you and your Son are one.  You have given us the glory that you gave your Son, that we may be richly, fully, one.

Draw near to Godโ€™s throne of grace
with the thanksgivings, prayers, & intercessions that are on your heart

Lord, let our memory provide no shelter for grievance against each other.
