Living Out John 17

There are three expressions of living out John 17 in community at Christ the Reconciler:

  1. Statement of Personal Devotion - We have written a short document that offers individuals the opportunity to commit to living out John 17 in concrete ways in their own personal life. Each year in February is the chance to adopt / renew this personal commitment.

  2. Community Commitment - We are currently writing the next level of commitment, which will describe how we commit to living out John 17 in concrete ways as a community in Central Texas.

  3. Residential Rule - When God gives us the ability to build houses on our land, we will create the third level of commitment. This will describe how we commit to living out John 17 in concrete ways as neighbors.

It is important to realize that there is no goal to get everyone who joins Christ the Reconciler to the third level of residential living. Many will adopt the Statement of Personal Devotion only - which is wonderful! Others will decide to make the Community Commitment, but never move onto the land here - which is also wonderful! And still others will engage with Christ the Reconciler as friends, partners, supporters, guests / visitors, retreatants, and the like - which is also wonderful!
