Praying Ephesians 4:1-6

πŸ””

I join with all who are praying *
to the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Opening Prayer

Grant me, O Lord, to know what I ought to know; to love what I ought to love; to praise what delights you most; to value what is precious in your sight; to hate what is offensive to you.

Do not allow me to judge according to the sight of my eyes, nor to pass sentence according to the hearing of the ears of ignorant men, but to discern with a true judgment between things visible and spiritual; *
and above all, always to inquire what is the good pleasure of your will.
Amen.

- Thomas Γ  Kempis

Praying Ephesians 4:1-6 (International English Bible)

As a prisoner in Rome for serving the Lord, I encourage you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received from God. *
Live a life of humility and gentleness with patience, bearing with one another in love.

Do everything you can to protect and maintain the unity of the Holy Spirit in the relational bond of peace, which holds us together. *
There is one body and one Spirit, just as there is one hope to which God has called us.

There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all!

Response to the Scripture

Where love and charity abide, that is where God dwells.

Draw near to God’s throne of grace
with the thanksgivings, prayers, & intercessions that are on your heart

πŸ””

The Spirit and the Bride say *
β€œCome!”

Even so, Lord Jesus, come quickly. *
Do everything you can to protect and maintain the unity of the Holy Spirit.

Praise / prayer / silence / sing a new song

Ending Prayer

Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart, that barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease; that our divisions being healed, we may live in justice and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

- Mission St. Clare

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
