I join with all who are praying *
to the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Opening Prayer
Father, I thank you for the unique way you have created me. Heavenly Father, I am so thankful to be able to approach my Creator, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, with reverence and fear. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. You are God. I am not. You are in control. Hallelujah!

Praying Genesis 17:1-10 (New International Version)
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, *
"I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. Then I will make my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers."
Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, *
"As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. The whole land of Canaan, where you now reside as a foreigner, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God."
Then God said to Abraham, "As for you, you must keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you for the generations to come. This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised."
Response to the Scripture
Thank you, LORD, that from everlasting to everlasting your love is with those who fear you, and your righteousness with their children's children -- with those who keep your covenant and remember to obey your precepts.

Ending Prayer
None of us is a great Christian; rather, we are all very small Christians. But your grace is sufficient for us.
Awaken us to the small joy and thankfulness that we are capable of, the timid faith that we bring, the incomplete obedience that we cannot refuse β to the hope in the greatness, wholeness, and completeness that you have prepared for us in the death of our Lord, Jesus Christ and that you have promised to us in his resurrection from the dead.
- Karl Barth
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
