Opening Prayer

O Light serene of God the Father’s glory,
To you, O Christ, we sing,
And with the evening star, at hour of sunset,
Our worship bring.

To Father, Son and God’s most Holy Spirit,
Eternal praise is due.
O Christ, who gave your life, the world gives glory
And thanks to you.

Praying Romans 6:17-18 (New International Version - 1984)

But thanks be to God that, though you who were once slaves of sin, you have become obedient with your whole heart to the teaching entrusted to you, and having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.

Response to the Scripture

I will enter Your gates with thanksgiving in my heart; I will enter Your courts with praise. I will say, "This is the day that the LORD has made, I will rejoice for He has made me glad."

Draw near to God’s throne of grace
with the thanksgivings, prayers, & intercessions that are on your heart

Ending Prayer

Good night, God, *
And thank you for this very lovely day,
And thank you for helping us at work and at play,
Thank you for our families and each and every friend.
Forgive us, please, for anything we've done that might offend.
Keep us safe and faithful, God.
Tell us what to do.

Good night, God, *
And thank you, God,
For letting us love you.
