Opening Prayer

May our Jewish brothers and sisters, who have been led *
“out from among the peoples and gathered from the foreign lands”

and brought back *
“to their own country,”

to the land of their ancestors, be able to live there in peace and security on the *
“mountains of Israel,”

guarded by the protection of God, their true shepherd.

Praying Psalm 122 (New International Version)

I rejoiced with those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."

Our feet are standing in your gates, Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is built like a city that is closely compacted together. That is where the tribes go up -- the tribes of the LORD -- to praise the name of the LORD according to the statute given to Israel. There stand the thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.*

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

"May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels."

For the sake of my family and friends, I will say,

"Peace be within you."

For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.

Response to the Scripture

Save us, Oh God of our salvation; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy Name, and revel in your praise!

Draw near to God’s throne of grace

with the thanksgivings, prayers, & intercessions that are on your heart

The Spirit and the Bride say *

“Come!”

Even so, Lord Jesus, come quickly. *

May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.

Ending Prayer

God of glory, we praise you that indigenous congregations are growing and thriving in the Holy Land. Make your servants, both Israeli and Palestinian as well as Gentiles serving God in Israel, to be a true testimony of the love of God and the power of the gospel. May they be enabled to love their enemies, and have a prophetic voice amongst their peoples, and be truly united together as the One New Man in Messiah Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

- Dr. Richard Harvey

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
