Thomas & Amy’s book on the Wittenberg 2017 journey is available in German!
This isn’t so much a review (after all … we’d have to learn German to read it, and that sounds like a lot of work :-) as an announcement. And not so much an announcement as a word of thanks, to all those who made it possible:
Ludwig Benecke - who ran point on the project from the beginning
George & Hanna Miley - who believed that this was a worthwhile effort, and supported it
Hans-Peter & Verena Lang - who worked on a significant appendix to the German book, that isn’t in the English version, about the Rome-Mainz initiative that followed Wittenberg 2017
Henning Dobers - who published the book through the GGE (the association of charismatic Lutheran pastors in Germany)
Christian Rendel - who expertly wrestled with Thomas’ unusual and often ungrammatical English style of writing, and produced a beautiful translation
And certainly many more who contributed in ways small and large
The book is available from the GGE, order by clicking this link.
PS: The title of the book was changed, because Unity Through Repentance was not thought to work well in German. The German word “Untrennbar” means “Inseparable” … and the design of the cover shows this inseparable word being divided in unusual ways, graphically demonstrating the tension between the unity and division in the body of Christ.
